Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Bissell 1200B SpotBot Hands-Free Compact Deep Cleaner Carpet CleanerCustomer Review: So far so good! Summary: 4 StarsI ordered this for the hand-held manual cleaning option to clean the spots on my couches (from our dogs). The instructions were easy to understand and the cleaner is very simple to use. My only complaint would be that the spout where the solution comes from (on the handle) sometimes will spit soap out when disassembling it. I just hate that I just finished cleaning my seat, and then 'Oops!' some solution falls on it. Nothing too bad, just caught me off guard the first time.
Customer Review: Awful circles it creates are seriously clean Summary: 5 StarsFirst, let me state that I have owned my SpotBot for more than 2 years and have very deep-pile, almost-white, carpet. This machine has been used by me repeatedly on this carpet. This is my experience:
Incredibly clean spots are created when I use this machine. Seriously clean. The only time that I saw the light circle that others have complained about was when the surrounding carpet needed general cleaning (it was simply clean in one spot). This machine did not promise to clean all of your carpet, it touts itself as a "spot cleaner".
It's one of my favorite purchases- it does exactly what the manufacturer claimed-- because it exceeded my jaded expectations. Fill it, set it, start it and come back to a clean spot in your carpet ten minutes later. If you have a problematic stain, you might need to pretreat, but I found I did not need to pretreat most spots after doing some with/without pretreat tests and getting the same result. Its a no-brainer way to remove tough stains (human or pet).
Buy it, use it right and you will never regret it!!!!!!!!!!
Customer Review: Efficiency on the floor Summary: 5 StarsI'll be honest, with 2 cats and a dog they can puke and pee and all kinds of nice things to mess up your carpet. And a regular steam vac. wasn't all that great. The steamer we had was just a little cheaper than the spot bot but you wouldn't be able to tell as it had brushes that didn't even move. The spot bot is GREAT! Just add in the solution/cleaner, set it down and program how to clean and leave it. It beeps when it's done and it's really not all that loud. Haven't used the hand vac yet. The only thing is, it is really just for spots. That old steam cleaner is good for larger areas as a 'general' cleaner, but the spot bot will demolish any and all "spots", but a word of caution: if you use it on a spot and the area is pretty dirty, you'll have one circular 'clean' spot that's quite obviously clean while the area around it stays dirty looking.
Customer Review: Not what we wanted. Summary: 3 StarsThe Bissell 1200B was small and easy to carry around. It would be good for small jobs but, it didn't remove all the liquid that was put on the carpet. The carpet was still too wet after the cleaner went through its full cycle.
Customer Review: Order has been restored! Summary: 5 StarsMy dog had diaherra on the carpet and it was not cleaned-up for about six hours. I have tried every spray on the market, and scrubbed it too, but nothing got rid of that yellow-crusted stain! A month later, I finally reasoned myself to buy a Spot Bot. I am a pessimist and was skeptical.
I brought the 1200B and a bottle of Bissell Pet and Odor Stain Remover and loaded it into the Spot Bot. I placed it over the diaherra stain, selected the "set-in" option. The brush started spinning what appeared to me as "lightly." I was still skeptical. Six minutes later, a perfectly clean, wet circle. Twelve hours later, the carpet had completely dried. I went Spot Bot crazy! I used it all over the house on old doggy pee stains that have been there for 3 months. I used it on dirt stains. My boyfriend is going to use it to wash his car interior from mice pee. Yes, mice went into his car and peed on it.
I used to rent the Rug Doctor every time my dogs have about six accidents. It got costly and it's a pain to haul that heavy Rug Doctor home and back.
This product can survive the test of living on the farm!
P.S. My dog just threw-up while I was writing a review for the SpotBot!! How ironic!
