I bought a Bissell 3105 stick vac in 1998. It appears that over time it has become the 3106A. Well it's 2008 and my stick vac has started to lose suction so I've purchased a replacement.
10 years isn't bad for a $20 vacuum! It cleans area rugs, hard wood floors, tile, etc. Mine even picks up cat litter (well it did until recently.) It's durable too, I have dropped it hundreds of times and it never broke.
I hope the new one works as well as the old one did.

Because the cleaning crew in my office building apparently aren't certified to operate vacuum cleaners, I wanted something for my office that was inexpensive, light, compact, easy to store and easy to use yet did more than make noise. I read carefully the previous reviews on the MANY little vacuums available. CLEARLY did not want a battery powered piece. The little Bissel seemed to be a reasonable compromise. Well sure enough, the little thing is as easy to use on a floor as a big monster, tucks away in the little box it was shipped in, and amazingly enough actually picks up dirt. Now that I've gotten the first ten layers off the carpet, I don't even have to clean the screen cup every two feet. Would have loved a power rotating brush head, but that option was three times the price; this little thing will do JUST find. Recommended HIGHLY.Customer Review: Exactly what i wanted.

I have tile and carpet in my house and I was looking for a quick, easy EFFECTIVE way to clean. I wanted something for my tile that would be more effective than a broom and easier to use than my big bulky vacuum. I came across this Three-Way a little skeptical, but a friend of mine swore that it was great. I took her advise and low and behold it was a DREAM! i have two insane small dogs, two ferrets, a boyfriend and younger brother. Not to mention all the nasty stinky "boys" that come in and out of my house on the daily and this little thing handles it ALL! I just take it out, plug it in, turn it on and within minutes my floor is spotless! From leaves to crumbs to dog hair to HUMAN HAIR.... its amazing. i would definitely recommend this product to anyone and for 20 bucks.... wow! It was a GREAT buy!!
It only gets 4 out of 5 stars b/c i can't quite understand why why there is no place to hang the attachment. But ....all in all THAT doesnt effect the way it cleans my floors:]

My wife loves it because its so light, it really is like pushing around a feather. Works great on bare floors, but it definately wasn't meant for rugs. Even my 7 year old can help vaccuum now!Customer Review: Perfect for the price and function

I just bought this to keep a bedroom and a stairway free of dust and pet hair. It is perfect for bare floors and even lightly over an area rug (not a deep cleaning at all.) The dust holding part is quite large as it is the bottom part of the vac, not a separate dust cup. This is easy compared to others.
This is light weight, has a crevice tool, and the floor attachment can be removed to make a hand held vac. It also has a long cord compared to others.
Considering the price, this is an excellent buy.
