Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Bissell 3107B Catch-All VacCustomer Review: Three Years Later, Still Doing a Great Job! Summary: 5 StarsI bought this vac in November of 2004 and I still love it. When I originally purchased it, I lived in a 500 square foot townhouse with hard floors throughout and could easily clean the whole floor on one charge. I have a lab who sheds like crazy, so I used it every day. Now that I'm living in a much larger home (where about 1/2 of the floors are wood), I find I can usually only do two rooms or so before needing to recharge the battery. (This may also be due to it not holding a charge as well after three years of daily use.)
I find the battery snaps in place really snuggly (sometimes I have trouble removing it, it's so snug). I've taken it apart a few times to give it a thorough cleaning, and leave the battery in the charger (plugged in) except when I'm using it. The short charge is a bit of a pain, but I actually like that it limits my cleaning time--it makes it more of a game to get it all done quickly. I also really like that it doesn't use bags--that makes quick cleanups really simple and straightforward, and also means that I never have to worry if I'm running low on bags.
All in all, I'm still just as thrilled with this little vac as I was when I first bought it. Sure, it'd be better if it did all the cleaning itself, without me, but otherwise, it's easy to use, really reliable, and still going strong. It does a great job sucking up dog hair, which is the big mess around here :-), and, like I said, I use it every day, so it's never tackling a really huge job--just the horrendous daily shedding of one dog :-).

Electrostatic cloth captures the fine particles (includes 3 electrostatic cloths). "Soft `N Safe" Brush-soft rotating bristles and rubber blades specially designed to safel The Bissell Catch-All vacuum lives up to its name by combining debris collection with dusting power. To make cleaning even easier, the unit operates cordlessly on a rechargeable battery that lasts 15 minutes per charge. Use of the Catch-All is markedly easy. When the handle is tipped to one side, the vacuum engages motorized non-scratching brushes to pick up large debris. Tip it to the other side and you can use the electrostatic dry cloth to snag all the fine particles and dust left on the floor. Suitable for all hard floor surfaces, the vacuum comes with non-marring felt-coated wheels, an easy-empty dust cup with a washable filter, and a simple and tidy charging unit. The battery pack pops off the base to simplify recharging, and an indicator light signals that charging is in progress. Each charge takes 6-8 hours; you can purchase additional battery packs separately to extend run time. Bissell includes a set of starter cloths and a one-year warranty. --Emily Bedard
