Customer Review: Okay, but expected MUCH better

My mother bought a cheaper version of this product and raved about it. We expected this to be even better, but really wasn't. Some pet stains (diabetic cat = food regurgitation) didn't come out all that well despite following the directions to the T, pre-treating multiple times, cleaning with the brush attachment and then going over with the steam cleaner 5+ times. Also, I had a coffee stain it barely touched thus have to continue to cover it with my couch.
It is great to simply clean the carpets but the extra "pet stain removal" it boasts, is lacking. I'd say about 8/10 stains came out. Yes, that is a lot of stains but we recently found out our cat had a myriad of health problems and he was constantly sick for a month while adjusting to medications. So don't expect the machine to be magic despite what it claims to do.
